Sixth Chinese gas ship in the offing

Shanghai: China Merchants, COSCO and CNOOC are in discussions with their regular LNG yard, Hudong-Zhonghua, for a sixth 145,000 cu m gas vessel which will be used to haul gas from Bintulu in east Malaysia to a new receiving terminal in Shanghai due open by the end of the year. Thus far Hudong-Zhonghua has delivered three gas ships to the Chinese partnership with a fourth set for delivery on six days time. [05/08/09]
