Shanghai: Cuba-based Acemex has ordered a series of 10 handymax vessels of 35,000dwt from Shanghai Shipyard, estimated to be worth a total of $250-280m. This order marks the end of a year long drought for Shanghai Shipyard, which has not reported any newbuild orders since September 2008.
