Shanghai: Cuba-based Acemex has ordered a series of 10 handymax vessels of 35,000dwt from Shanghai Shipyard, estimated to be worth a total of $250-280m. This order marks the end of a year long drought for Shanghai Shipyard, which has not reported any newbuild orders since September 2008. The vessels are slated for delivery to their owner beginning 2011, with series completion scheduled for 2013. [17/09/09]
