China Bunker Supplier To Sharply Increase Bonded Sales Next Year

China Shipping & Sinopec Suppliers Co., one of the country's major bunker suppliers, aims to sharply increase its bonded bunker sales next year to 1 million metric tons, an official with the company said Thursday. The company, which entered the bonded bunker business in 2007, expects to sell 200,000 tons of bonded bunker fuel this year, said the official, who declined to be named.
The company sold 53,000 tons of bonded bunker fuel last year, he said.
In addition to the five ports where the company currently operates bonded bunker business, it will add at least another three by the end of this year - Rizhao port in Shandong province, Guangzhou port in Guangdong province and Dalian port in Liaoning province, he said.
It is currently operating at Guangdong's Zhanjiang and Shenzhen ports and eastern China's Shanghai and Ningbo ports as well as Hainan island.
