Korea Midland Power (KOMIPO), one of South Korea's five power generating firms, has tendered to buy 90,000 tonnes of thermal coal for delivery between mid-April and June, a tender document obtained by Reuters on Tuesday showed. The utility is seeking three shipments of bituminous coal with a minimum calorific value of 5,200 kcal/kg (NAR) to supply its Seocheon power plant, according to the document.
The delivery period is from April 15 to June 30. The tender will close on April 8.
