China's steel product exports rose to 1.67 mln tons in March

Shanghai. April 10. INTERFAX-CHINA - The total volume of China's steel
product exports hit 1.67 million tons in March this year, up 7.05
percent month-on-month, according to preliminary statistics released by
the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on April 10.
In the first three months of this year, China's steel product exports
fell 54.87 percent year-on-year to 5.14 million tons.
Iron ore imports in March increased by 11.42 percent month-on-month to
reach 52.08 million tons, recording a historical monthly high,
attributed to the falling prices of iron ore imports.
The tables below show China's trade in steel products, slab, coke and
iron ore in March as well as in the first three months of 2009.
