Zim ends to Adriatic cooperation with MSC

Tel Aviv: Israels’s Zim Integrated shipping services has announced that it has officially ended a co-operation agreement with MSC for routes calling at Adriatic ports. The agreement, which was struck in January this year to cater to increased need for transportation during Israel’s agricultural season, saw both container lines operate a bi-weekly service along the route.
According to Port2Port, Zim noted that as from July the company will continue to provide weekly service with two of its ships "Odessa Star" and "Novorossiysk Star". Both vessels will call Israeli ports on regular days: Haifa on Sundays and Ashdod on Mondays. The schedule will remain unchanged – Haifa, Ashdod, Koper, Treiste, Venice, Ravenna.
MSC will also continue to provide weekly sailing with two containerships "MSC Caitlin" and "MSC Provider". The vessels will call Haifa on Sundays and Ashdod on Tuesdays. MSC schedule will also remain unchanged – Haifa, Ashdod, Koper, Treiste, Venice, Ravenna.  [07/07/09]
