China’s box throughput slumps 10.9% in first half

Beijing: The waterways bureau of ministry of transportation is confident overall shipped volumes in the country has bottomed out. Total cargo moved in the first half increased 0.5% to 2.64bn tons. However, container traffic slumped 10.9% to 52.42m teu reflecting the depressed export market. [16/07/09]
