TUI to Close Sale of Hapag Unit in Days, FT Deutschland Reports

will complete the sale of its Hapag-Lloyd shipping line in coming days, Financial Times Deutschland reported today, without saying where it got the information. TUI will keep a larger stake in Hapag than the initially agreed 33 percent and give the buyers a “discount credit” of as much as 1 billion euros ($1.27 billion), according to the newspaper. The newspaper wasn’t more specific on the timing of the sale.
